Breaking out hardstanding and digging a new cable route
The cable team needed a route cut through existing hardstanding before they could lay a new cable run in Portsmouth. Made-up ground like this is no job for a spade — so we supplied a tracked excavator with an experienced operator, fitted a hydraulic breaker, and opened up the surfacing along the planned route.
Once the hardstanding was broken out, we switched to the bucket and excavated the cable route, loading the spoil out as the run progressed. The trench was left open, square and ready for the cable installation team to take over.
